Hi im looking for artist friends.

Definitely like this one better than the original coloring work, looks much less plastic (does the original make use of the PS lighting effects texture channel thingie?) . If I had to pick something to nag about (and I do have to, it's my nature, sorry), then I'd say:
1. the nose shadow could be better defined (a matter of taste, really, but something I noticed immediately,
2. The hair highlights are out of place, it looks like they have a wannabe halo or St. Elmo's Lights around their head. Specular highlights still belong to the general side of the head the light is coming from. Also, it's too narrow for hair, hair surface is not perfectly smooth, so it gives a somewhat wider highlight.
3. A related problem with the highlight on the cape on his upper back, diffuse highlights belong to the side light is coming from.

In general, the skin tones, faces, eyes and hair (except the highlight) and sword are really good IMHO, the cloak and armor could use some touch-up (the coloring there is oddly soft in contrast with the aforementioned parts, especially for metal).

(In other news: Yeah, beanie, you got first. so... whatchoo gonna do wid' it? (btw, only my GF is allowed to suck my blood. so buzz off :D)

Sorry about that, Kirby McKirby.)

However, I am not a professional, I'm riding by the seat of my pants here, too. Consider it a disclaimer :D

thank you for the comments,
and I appreciate it,
but I am already aware of the mistakes that I have made in my art,
I'm just an amateur,
I don't feel the need to conform to what another tells me just because they tell me it,
I'm just here to share what i colour,
and this is why i have not ticked the category, advanced criticism encouraged.
Also i do not feel that my colouring it any bit superior to ryuuen's
:iconthesweetlife:
thank you
nah,
I think he's a lot better at colouring,
your very good too ^^
